Coping with Previous Experiences (CoPE) Study
The purpose of this study is to better understand how different stressors experienced during childhood and adolescence are related to both young adults’ stress response to a standard laboratory protocol and psychological well-being.

We recently completed data collection of 216 first-generation college students (i.e., neither parent nor caregiver has earned a 4-year degree) aged 18-25, 150 of whom provided saliva samples for cortisol assay. Data analysis and publication of the main findings is underway. Stay tuned!

National Study of Adolescent to Adult Health (Add Health)

My ongoing dissertation work leverages longitudinal data from the Add Health study. The overarching goal of my dissertation is to better understand the complex, dynamic associations between neighborhood concentrated disadvantage, depressive symptoms, and binge drinking from adolescence through emerging adulthood. To this end, I am proposing a new data linkage to Add Health to improve the contextual data available for longitudinal analyses (i.e., harmonized and comparable geographic boundaries across timepoints).

I'm on track to defend my dissertation in early Spring 2025. I look forward to sharing the culmination of my graduate work with you all!
